(Jamestown College) – Jamestown College head volleyball coach Jon Hegerle announces Alaina Brown of Bloomington, Minn., has signed a Letter of Intent to enroll at Jamestown College next year and play volleyball for the Jimmies.

Brown, a five-foot-nine setter/outside hitter, is an All-Conference selection for Bloomington Kennedy High School. She recorded 238 kills, 18 blocks, 349 digs and 65 aces her senior season and was named Defensive MVP.

“Alaina’s athletic, spiritual and social development have been instrumental in her growth as a leader both on and off the court,” Hegerle says. “Her experiences and talents as a volleyball player have gone a long way in preparing her to compete at a high level. Most importantly, Alaina understands what it takes to be a leader in a championship program. I am confident that she will help us move forward in establishing Jimmie volleyball in the elite of the NAIA.”

Brown is the daughter of Steve and Karen Brown. She plans to major in Exercise Science at Jamestown College.
