FORKS, N.D. (AP) – A Grand Forks Republican lawmaker says
she won’t run for re-election this fall. Stacey Dahl was first
elected to the North Dakota House in 2004 and is now a member of
the House Appropriations Committee. She was elected while she was
still a student at the University of North Dakota and at age 30,
she’s still one of the Legislature’s youngest members.
     
FARGO, N.D. (AP) – Police are investigating after two men were
stabbed outside a south Fargo bar yesterday. Investigators say the
men involved in the incident likely knew each other and had been
drinking.
     
BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) – A former North Dakota resident is preparing to run his second Iditarod  sled dog race. Kelly Maixner  is a native of Golva in southwestern North Dakota and now works as a dentist in Alaska. The 1,100-mile race starts March 3rd.
