Lee Gohner, 69, Jud, North Dakota died early Sunday morning March 18, 2012 at his home in Jud, ND.

James L Gohner was born May 31, 1942 in Mickelson Township, LaMoure County, the son of John Gohner and Amelia (Suko) Gohner. He attended the local rural school and graduated from the Jud High School.

He and Mavis Schumacher were married April 8, 1960. They made their home on a farm North of Jud until the fall of 1969 when they moved into Jud. Along with farming, Jim also had a trucking business from 1978 to 1981. He has continued to farm until the fall of 2005. He enjoyed Ice Fishing. His most precious time was when he was with his family and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved the yearly get togethers. After his retirement he enjoyed his big garden and sharing it with his family and friends.

Surviving are his wife, Mavis, Jud, ND, his children, John Gohner, Grand Island, NE; Wayne (Tara), Jud, ND; Rhonda (Arlyn) Pfaff, Jud, ND; Sherry (Myron) Schapp, Fargo, ND; Marcia Tarpinian, Windsor, CO; Mari (Doug) Padgett, Cody, WY; 10 grandchildren, Brandy (Nathan) Klusmann, Justin Pfaff, Eric (Nicole) Schapp, Jason Schapp, Nathan and Jeffrey Gohner, Michael J. Tarpinian, Tabitha Tarpinian, Jimmy Gohner and Colin Hanson; 5 great Grandchildren, Noah, Eli, Kalyn and Eden Klusmann and Michael D. Tarpinian; 3 sisters LaVerne Yetterboe, Jamestown, ND, Deloris (Lloyd) Schroeder, Alfred, ND, Judy (Dave) Mickelson, Jamestown, ND.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandchild, Kasey Jo Pfaff, 4 sisters, Irene Moldenhauer, Leah Moldenhauer Barthel, Mary Ann Strobel, Sharon Schlenker, 3 brothers, Henry, Joe and Paul.

It was the wish of James that his body be cremated and no services held. Interment will take place at a later date in the Jud UCC Cemetery at Jud, ND
