funeral service for LaMae Lemley, 89, Fargo, ND, formerly of Hope, ND, will be 11 AM, Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at Baldwin Presbyterian Church, Pillsbury.  Burial will be in Memory Gardens near Valley City, ND.  She died March 18, 2012, at her home at Pioneer House in Fargo while under the care of Hospice of the Red River Valley.            

Visitation will be held at the Oliver-Nathan Funeral Chapel, Valley City, on Tuesday, March 20 from 4 PM until 7 PM.  A prayer service will be held there beginning at 7 PM.  Visitation will continue an hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.             

LaMae Cleo Cole was born on October 27, 1922 in Jamestown, ND, the daughter of Frederick and Cynthia (Baker) Cole.  She attended school in Hope, ND.            

On February 8, 1941, she married George S. Lemley in Finley, ND.  They lived in Pillsbury, ND for a short time before moving to Hope.  In 1948, they moved to a farm north of Pillsbury and farmed there until George’s death in 1976.  At that time, she moved to Pillsbury.  In 1991, she moved to Hope.             

She attended Baldwin Presbyterian Church, Pillsbury.  She was a member of the Pillsbury Loyal Homemakers and TOPS Club.            

LaMae is survived by her children, Arden (Joanne) Lemley, Sheryl (Russell) Umsted, Michael Lemley, and Gayle (Duane) Burchill; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; a brother, Warren (Joyce) Cole; and a sister, LaNora McCullough.            

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brothers, Rueben, William, Richard, Sterling, and Dub.
