(NewsDakota.com) In less than a week, the Oakes High School Track and Field teams will be competing at their first meet.

The first meet of the season is Thursday March 29, when the Tornadoes head to Wahpeton. The next two meets are in Lisbon on April 3 and 9.

Oakes hosts their first home meet on Tuesday April 16, and that will be followed by another home meet on Saturday April 21.

The rest of the season features another meet at Lisbon on Monday April 23, at Ellendale on April 28, back in Wapheton May 1, at Central Cass on May 10, and the regular season ends at Concordia May 14.

Regionals are set for Saturday May 19, and the State Class B Track and Field Meet is in Bismarck May 26 and 27.
