(NewsDakota.com) North Dakota Governor Jack Dalrymple and his wife Betsy, along with other dignitaries were on hand at the South Gym of Oakes High School to honor the Oakes High School Concert Band as they were presented by the Governor as the “2011-12 North Dakota Governor’s Band”.

The band, lead by Sue German performed a few selections in front of a packed house.

The Oakes High School Concert Band performs the National Anthem on Friday.

The band was named the award winner back in December of 2011, but Friday was the official presentation and declaration by the Governor.
