Graving, 95, of Jamestown, ND, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012 in Jamestown.

Thelma was born on May 18, 1916, on the family farm 9 miles north of Binford, ND, the daughter of Ivar and Thora (Lofthus) Almklov.  She grew up on the family farm and graduated from Cooperstown High School.  Thelma married Otto Graving on June 25, 1944 in Binford.  They made their home on the farm north of Binford.  Otto died on August 23, 1973. Thelma was an active member of the church and the Ladies Aid, the Rebecca Lodge, the American Legion Auxiliary, and the Homemakers club. She also served as President of the McVille Senior Citizens. Thelma resided on the farm until she moved to McVille, ND, then to Jamestown in November 2011.  Thelma was deeply loved by her family and friends.

Thelma is survived by one daughter, Gloria Bartlett, Jamestown; one son, Gerald Graving, Cooperstown, ND; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, Shayne (Angy) Bartlett and their two children, Lindsay and Tucker, Bobbi Jo (Dan) Anderson and their daughter, Taylor, Kara (Jason) Frey and their two sons, Lawson and Liam, Jessica (Aaron) Franke and their four children, Paxton, Cambry, Kolden, and Ryson, and Joslyn (Jason) Kaseman.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
