CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) Half-a-dozen owners of property in the Valley City Flood buyout area have reached an agreement with the city.

City Commissioner Matt Pederson says bids will be let soon for contractors interested in the demolition or removal of those properties in the buyout.

Pederson says about a $500-thousand dollars remains in the first phase of the $4 million dollar flood buyout project. The bought out properties will either be demolished or auctioned off and removed.
