Heim, 89, of Edgeley, ND, died Tuesday, August 14, 2012 at Manor St. Joseph, Edgeley.

Faye Jean Tomlin was born September 18, 1922, the daughter of May L. (Washburn) and Gordon C. Tomlin, on a farm south of Edgeley.  She received her elementary education in the rural school and graduated from Edgeley High School in the class of 1940.  After working in Jamestown, she attended Capital Commercial Business College in Bismarck, ND for a short time.

Faye married Clarence J. Heim on June 23, 1942.  They operated a dairy farm southwest of Edgeley for many years.  They moved to Edgeley in 1977.

She was an active member of the Transfiguration Church, Edgeley singing in the choir for many years and active in the altar society, Bible study and prayer groups.  Faye was also an active member of Homemakers club, Farm Bureau and Republican Women over the years.  She also took part in many community plays.  Faye played the part of “Grandma” in the Edgeley Jubilee pageant in 1962 and also the Edgeley Centennial pageant in 1987. 

Clarence died in 1989.  She married Benjamin Meidinger from Wishek, ND on January 8, 1994 and continued to reside in Edgeley.  Faye enjoyed living at Manor St. Joseph in Edgeley where she had the opportunity to play cards and read for Mass.

Faye is survived by three sons, Maurus (Irene) Heim, Edgeley, Michael (Linda) Heim, Bismarck, ND, and Kirk (Debbie) Heim, Jamestown; three daughters, Maryett (Donald) Hanson, Adrian, ND, Leanne (LeRoy) Wegenast, Jamestown, and Renay (Mark) Kalbus, Jamestown; 18 grandchildren; 24 great grandchildren; and one sister, Vera Zottnick, Edgeley.

She was preceded in death by both husbands; parents; six sisters; and two brothers.

1:30 pm, Saturday, August 18, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Visitation: 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Prayer Service: 7:00 pm, Friday, August 17, 2012 at Transfiguration Catholic Church, Edgeley, ND.

Interment: Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Edgeley.
