CITY, N.D. (NewsDakotak.com) North Dakota Winter Show manager Dawn Riley says the organization is alive and well as a number of new events were added over the past year inside the event center.

Riley says the staff is preparing for the Great Midwest Horse Show coming up October 6-7 and the North Star Classic, November 29 – Dec 2. She says preparations for the 76th annual show and the 50th anniversary of the North Dakota Winter Show Rodeo and building are underway.

Gerry Gerntholz was recognized for his 33 years of service on the North Dakota Winter Show board during the annual meeting Monday night. Ben Jacob was also thanked for his years of service as a board member. Mike Kohler was voted in as a new board member.

On the Women’s Division Board Marian Gerntholz was recognized for her 50 years of service. Marge Bessette was thanked for her years of service on the board. Coni Hosrager was voted in as a new board member in the NDWS Women’s Division.
