Joseph Riggle, age 22, of Sheyenne, ND, died Saturday, November 3, 2012, due to injuries sustained in a car accident near Tokio, ND.
Jordan Joseph Riggle was born December 18, 1989, at Devils Lake, ND, the son of Lisa Chaske and Kevin Riggle. He grew up in Sheyenne where he attended school, and also attended Four Winds High School at Fort Totten, where he graduated in May of 2009. Jordan had worked summers with the Youth program (NYC) at Ft. Totten, the North American Bison Co-op at New Rockford, and at CenDak Farmers Union in Sheyenne. He also worked with the Maintenance Department at Spirit Lake Casino, for Alken Auto Glass of Devils Lake, and currently was employed by North Star Safety of West Fargo at various road construction sites.
Jordan was an avid North Carolina Tar Heels fan. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and watching baseball. While in school, he had played football, and also summer baseball. He loved playing video games, and was skilled working with and on computers. Jordan was a special “Big Brother” to his cousin Jaylon St. Clair.
He is survived by and will be greatly missed by his father, Kevin Riggle of Sheyenne, his mother Lisa Chaske of St. Michael, two sisters, Jerah Chaske of Devils Lake, Jaydin Kraft of St. Michael; 2 nephews, Jaren and Jericho Chaske of Devils Lake. Also his grandmother, Corrine Chaske of Oberon; uncle David “Dobbs” (Arliss) Riggle of Sheyenne; aunties Deb (Tony) LaVallie, Colleen (Gary) Chaske, Jolleen (Waylon) St. Claire, all of Oberon, Joni Riggle of Sheyenne; his special friend Nellie RedOwl of Fort Totten ; cousins Derrick Chaske, Troyal, Tanisha, Tiana, & Taylah Thumb, all of Oberon, Waylon St. Clair, Jr and Jaylon St. Clair, both of Oberon, Mark (Darcie) Riggle, Sheyenne, Felicia Sherman, Fort Totten & Aiden Iceman of Sheyenne.
Jordan was preceded in death by his grandparents, Joseph “Big Joe” Chaske, Jr, George Riggle, Donna “Bunny” Riggle; his great-grandparents Marion and Joseph Chaske, Sr, Alma and Pete Davis, Sr, Mary and John Miller, Elizabeth and Charles Riggle; and his cousin Rancee Jo Chaske-Thumb.
