CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Barnes County/Valley City “Salvation Army Red Kettle” campaign is now underway and bell ringers are needed.

Co-event coordinator Joe Lunde said this years goal is to raise $32,000 dollars. Last year a record shattering $44,000 was raised in Barnes County from a number of generous donations said Lunde.

Bell ringers are needed in Valley City at Shopko (the former Pamida store,) Marketplace Foods and Leevers Foods. Any person, business, service group or organization willing to donate their time for bell ringing should contact Joe Lunde at 845-1974.
