CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A minimum bid of ,000 for the Valley City Auditorium known as the “Audi” was approved by the city commission this week.

City administrator David Schelkoph says the city accepted “a plan of purpose” for the building by Berkel Properties this month.

The proposed project appears to be a plan to renovate the structure for living units. Berkel Properties spokesman Bob Bergan told the city about the companies plans for the building.

The building is on the National Register of Historic buildings and may have to be removed from the list to make the proposed project viable.

On a 3-2 vote the city approved of the minimum bid of $35,000 for the “Audi.” Commissioners Nielsen and Luke voted against the agenda item on Monday.
