N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – At approximately 3:50 AM, Jamestown Rural Firefighters were called to a fire in Eldridge, N.D.

The fire, which was started in a wood stove and spread through the chimney to the attic, was contained to just the house. No one was reportedly injured. Jamestown’s Fire Department sent some fire fighters for some support, staying on scene until about 1 PM in the single-digit weather.

American Red Cross members responded to the scene as well, providing support from 5:00 AM until everyone dispersed. The Stutsman County Sheriff Department also helped by the North Dakota Farmers Union to remove a propane tank that was near the house.
