CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) A proposal to build a bike path in a flood prone area in Valley City makes no sense to Mayor Bob Werkhoven.  He says the proposed path would be along 4th street on the north side of the Sheyenne river where the skate park is located.

Werkhoven says he’s not against building bike paths, but he says putting them in an area vulnerable to flooding would be headache for the city to maintain annually.
