N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department would like to warn Jamestown residents regarding a convicted sex offender living in the city of Jamestown.

Timothy Alan Taxis was assigned a high risk assessment by the North Dakota Risk Level Committee. In 1994, Taxis was convicted of Gross Sexual Imposition when he exposed himself to young girls in a tennis court and forced an 11 year old to masturbate him. He has been convicted of Indecent Exposure when he exposed himself to the female employees of a video store in 1998. He repeated the offence when he exposed himself to two 11 year-old girls at a park and followed them in a vehicle in 2001.

Taxis is not wanted at this time and is currently serving the sentence imposed by the court. This notification is meant for public safety and not to increase fear. Prosecution will be in order if this information is used to threaten, assault or intimidate the offender.
