N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A new bill that has been introduced in North Dakota Legislature would provide new incentives to construct new fertilizer or chemical processing plants in the state.

Senate Bill 2035 would exempt sales and use taxes for materials to construct or expand facilities. State officials and a senator said the bill will be used to encourage the use of natural gas that has become abundant in the state, thanks to oil development.

The proposed exemption would not apply to the full cost of planned $3 billion facility at Spiritwood.
