Loepp, 84, of Oakes, ND, passed away December 9, 2015, at Avera St. Luke’s Hospital in Aberdeen, SD.

Doris Marie, the youngest child of William and Anna (Burrow) Kunrath was born on March 6, 1931at Guelph, ND. She attended Guelph School before finishing her junior and senior years at Oakes High School. She married Robert “Bud” Loepp on July 6, 1950 in Aberdeen, SD. Together they had two children, Fae and Johnnie. Doris was employed with Northwestern Bell at Oakes and Wahpeton for 17 years. When the office closed, she went to work for D. and E. Machining, Inc. until retiring in June 1993. Bud passed away on May 10, 2012, and Doris moved to Oakes to be closer to family. She loved family history and her favorite pastime was anything to do with geneology, knitting and crocheting.

She is survived by her daughter, Fae Rowe and special friend, Larry Chelgren of Oakes; four grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Wardien, Amber (Shay) Nelson, Michael Loepp, and Amanda Loepp; four great-grandchildren, Abby, Aiden, Leah, and Jaren; and a special friend, Bob Dickerson. Doris was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Robert “Bud”, son Johnnie, brother Clarence Kunrath, two sisters Lorraine Baker and Arlene Kunrath, and a son-in-law, Jim Rowe.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes, with Reverend Jonathan Fisk officiating. Burial will be in the Oakes View Cemetery. An online guestbook may be signed at www.dahlstromfuneralhome.com
