N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Boy Scouts of America was founded in 1910 and has since grown to be one of the largest youth organizations in the United States.

They’re also known for their popcorn sales.

Coming up September 23rd, local Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts will be making the rounds and selling their famous popcorn. Rebecca Thomson, District Executive for the Flickertail District, stated that with the sales, only 20 percent of those would buy popcorn to support the troops are asked to buy.

Thomson also stated that they are looking for residents to volunteer as mystery houses. Mystery houses are locations that buys can approach and sell to with the additional incentive to approach more houses. She also said most of the money raised stays and supports the troop.

“70 percent of all popcorn sales stays local for troops to use for fun events, activities, and camping,” Thomson mentioned.

Sales begin September 23rd.
