N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – With the recent melt and the cooler temperatures freezing the thaw once more, residents are being reminded to check their ice houses.

Biologist Doug Leier with the North Dakota Game & Fish Department reports that just as the same has happened with the melting and freezing of snow around homes and driveways, the same is happening out on the ice.

Leier says this has caused some ice houses to be frozen to the water. He has a tip for individuals to prevent that from happening when another thaw and freeze occurs.
