N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – About nine North Dakota Motorcycle Clubs participated in the first ever “Bikers for a Cause” benefit run on June 3rd.

Two routes totaling 260 miles were put together by Event Coordinator Ashley Domino for the first ever run. She stated that it was her who contacted clubs around the state to participate.

Approximately 200 or more bikers turned out for the run. Stutsman Harley Davidson General Manager John Seifert said he was happy with the turnout.

Seven clubs including The CMA Dakota Sonshine Riders of Jamestown, Crusaders of Jamestown, Dakota Riders of Valley City, Jamestown HOG Chapter, Individuals of Jamestown, Lunacy of Devils Lake, and the Spirit Lake Riders of Devils Lake joined in the run.

Seifert said that some other clubs were joining last minute too.

Each club participating chose a non-profit that would benefit from their participation in the fundraiser. Benefited organizations include Teen City, Jamestown Safe Shelter, Kulsrud Brothers, ND Veterans Home in Lisbon, JRMC Hospice, DAV Regan McLean Chapter #5, Great Plains Food Bank and Unite to Silence the Stigma.

Jamestown HOG Chapter Road Captain Clayton Hanson says he and his chapter participate in numerous runs every year.

Final numbers raised will be reported later.
