N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Several Jamestown emergency departments and organizations set up shop at the Jamestown Civic Center Thursday, June 22nd for Kids Safety Day.

Central Valley Health and the Jamestown Police Department teamed up for the 2nd Annual Kids Safety Day. The JPD had originally hosted their bike rodeo apart from Safety Day, but this was the first year they combined their efforts.

Central Valley Health Unit Administrator Robin Iszler says they had over 300 kids come through the doors.

Jamestown Police Officer Andrew Staska pointed out that they weren’t sure how the event was going to turn out, but were very happy with the preliminary registration numbers.

Four bikes, two donated by Cashwise and two purchased by the Jamestown Police Department, were also raffled off for free and were given to four lucky kids out of the over 500 that attended throughout the day. Below are some photos and video from the event.
