N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Members of the Valley City Cross Country team braved the cold, Friday morning to celebrate the renewed rivalry between the Blue Jays and Valley City.

The team accepted the Jamestown game ball from Coach Bill Nelson and then began their run back to Valley City, a 35 mile run along Old Highway 10. The team was followed by the Ingstad Family Media Radio Rover. The team will also be running the game ball to the Valley City Hi-Liner Activity Center for the Pep Rally this afternoon at the HAC.

The two football teams last played in 2001. The game will be tonight in Valley City with pre-game starting at 6:30 PM on ESPN AM 1400/97.1 FM and KOVC 1490. The game will also be live-streamed here on NewsDakota.com.
