VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com)- The VCHS Hi-Lites rocked the floor at the Santiques Invitational on Saturday in Bismarck. Both teams placed in every category that they were dancing in.

The Varsity Hi-Lites, coached by Megan Gilbertson, brought home first place for their Kick and Hip Hop routines.  Varsity Pom and Jazz routines earned them 2nd place.

The JV team was awarded second in Kick and Jazz.  They also took third in Pom. The JV team is coached by Amanda Cole.

The Bismarck Invitational wraps up the regular season, leaving the Hi-Lites gearing up for their NDADD state competition January 26 & 27 at the Alerus Center in Grand Forks.

The Varsity team will then travel to the 2018 National Dance Team Championship which will  take place February 2nd through February 4th at the Walt Disney World Resort in Orlando, Florida.

The Hi-Lites dance team headed out to Minneapolis for the UDA Spirit of American Regional Dance competition on January 6th, 2018.  There were teams from all over the Mid West at this competition.

The Hi-Lites JV team brought home a 2nd place trophy in Kick and a 5th place trophy in Jazz.  The Hi-Lites varsity team was awarded 3rd place in Hip Hop, and 5th place in Jazz and Kick.
