JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department is investigating a string of vehicle thefts from Don Wilhelm’s.

Sales Manager Tom Wilhelm says since May 3rd, they’ve had 4 vehicles stolen directly off the lot. The latest theft happened Friday night.

“The fifth one was stolen last night from the Buffalo Mall Parking lot,” Wilhelm told NewsDakota. “They’ve been using tin snips to cut through the lock boxes on the cars and taking the keys. They’ve also taken a few other keys so we think they might try to take more of our vehicles.”

Wilhelm says they have located some of the vehicles in different parts of the state including Ft. Totten and Detroit Lakes, MN. He says the police have also located some of the suspects, but there are still some committing the crimes.

“We just really want this to stop,” Wilhelm stated. “If you see something, please tell the police.”
