JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The National Buffalo Museum in Jamestown will be leaning on community support to help them with finances and costs.

To do so, the museum is hosting their 25th Annual Auction Fundraiser. The event will help the museum continue their mission of spreading the history of the National Mammal; the bison.

Museum Executive Director Illana Xinos says while they do receive some funding in grants, the community’s support is key.

Xinos says with the area’s support, they’ll be able to continue and expand current and new programs at the museum.

The fundraiser is set for June 20th at the Jamestown Civic Center and includes a bison prime rib dinner, drinks, raffles and auctions. For more information on becoming a sponsor or obtaining tickets, contact the museum at 701-252-8648.
