JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Chris Erickson was making just his second start of the season, but he made it count. The right hander allowed just two hits in five innings and added an rbi double as Jamestown defeated the Bismarck Reps 7-0 in the championship of the Southwest Divisional Tournament at Jack Brown Stadium on Saturday.

Erickson had Bismarck hitting the ball on the ground with 10 ground ball outs. Kohl Kratz struck out two in two innings of work to earn the save.

Jamestown only had four hits, but three produced runs. Including Tommy Falk’s long home run to right field in the four run sixth. It was the first home run hit by a Post 14 player this season.

Jamestown will head into the State Class A Tournament next week in Williston with a 16-10 record. They will open up with the Fargo Bombers on Wednesday at 12:30pm. The Bombers lost 6-1 to Kindred in the Southeast Region Tournament championship.
