VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – A King & Queen was crowned during the homecoming pep rally in the Hi Liner Activity Center on September 21st.

The Homecoming Royalty was announced and presented to the students and several classes were recognized during the event.

A big surprise was announced as the Hi Liner students and audience was worked into a frenzy during the rally that more money for the Hanna Field Athletic Complex was raised thanks to so many people, businesses and organizations in the area over a 3 day period.

i3G Media Sports Director Joel Morgan helped raise more than $16,500 during his “Restoring the Legacy” fundraising event this week to help the Fundraising Committee reach their goal of $500,000 for Phase I of the Hanna Field Athletic Complex.

Joel lived in the press box for three days trying to raise $10,000 for the school district project. Joel made the announcement that he exceeded his goal thanks to so many people who gave in Barnes County and Valley City.
