JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – “A few degrees makes all the difference.”

Bismarck National Weather Service Meteorologist Adam Jones says at this time of the year with precipitation, a difference of a few degrees can mean rain or snow. Right now, it’s estimated to be cold enough for the area to receive anywhere from 4 to 6 inches of snowfall beginning tomorrow.

Jones says the state will see a mix of snow and rain with a transition into all snow west of Jamestown, east of Fargo and north to Grand Forks.

Jones says the good news is a warm-up is expected this weekend, which should melt most of the snow that falls Wednesday. He reminds everyone to stay alert and up to date with the latest weather and advisories in the state.
