JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The early snow has caught many residents off guard.

It’s also caused deteriorating road conditions for many in the area. The North Dakota Highway Patrol reports that several vehicles have already been found in the ditch and visibility is very low. Sgt. Benjamin Kennelly says they don’t expect the conditions to improve any time soon.

Sgt. Kennelly encourages everyone to avoid driving if possible and keep the conditions in mind when making travel plans.

The latest North Dakota Department of Transportation Road Map shows wet slush and frost covered roads in a majority of Eastern North Dakota. Visit dot.nd.gov for more or call 511 for the latest road conditions.
