JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The University of Jamestown is looking to connect more with the community this Halloween.

For the first time, the University will be holding an event on Sunday, October 28th for trick-or-treaters ages 12 and younger to do some trick-or-treating in a safe environment. Assistant Director of Residence Life Katie Roehm says they’ll open Watson Hall to the public for the kids to get some candy from college students.

Roehm says they decided on a Sunday afternoon to avoid evenings, bedtime schedules and church events. She pointed out that the University is always looking for ways to keep the community connected with the campus and vice versa.

Kids are encouraged to wear their costumes and must be accompanied by an adult. The event runs from 1 PM to 4 PM. For more information, contact Katie Roehm at 701-252-3467 ext. 4107.
