VALLEY CITY, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Valley City Police Department is reporting that information regarding a 19 year-old Valley City man who was shot is being delayed due to his condition and witness cooperation.

The VCPD reports that the 19 year-old man was shot one time in the upper body and is currently in a Fargo hospital recovering.

“Suspect is known at this time only as a black male with shoulder length dreadlocks, approximately 5’11” and 160 pounds,” the department released.

At the time of the crime, the suspect was wearing dark sweatpants and a crew neck sweatshirt. He left the scene in a lighter colored Pontiac Grand Prix.

“The suspect may be from the Chicago area, but has associates in the Fargo/Moorhead area. The incident was not a random act of crime as the suspects involved know each other, and no known threat to the public exists.”
