VALLEY CITY, N.D (VCSUVikings.com)- Valley City State University senior middle Clarissa Olson continued to rack up postseason awards Tuesday as she was named Honorable Mention All-American by the NAIA national office.

It is the second straight season that Olson has received Honorable Mention All-American, which is chosen by the NAIA Volleyball All-America Selection Committee. This committee is made up of NAIA-AVCA officers and the championship committee.

A native of Valley City, N.D., Olson was named to the AVCA North Central All-Region Team last week, and was previously named NSAA 1st Team All-Conference. She led the Vikings this year with 305 kills, 105 blocks and a .346 hitting percentage. She ranked 17th in the NAIA in hitting percentage this season.

Olson set new school records for season hitting percentage (.346) and career hitting percentage (.320) this year. She broke the old season mark of .331 and career mark of .309, both of which were held by Cindy Thielen.

Olson finishes her Viking career with 902 kills (12th all time) and 276 blocks (8th all time).
