WASHINGTON, D.C. (Cramer Office) – Kevin Cramer was sworn in by Vice President Mike Pence as a U.S. Senator from North Dakota for the 116th Congress on January 3. He was officially sworn in on the Senate floor before participating in a ceremonial reenactment with his family in the Old Senate Chamber later in the afternoon.

“I’m so grateful to be serving the people of North Dakota in the United States Senate,” Senator Cramer said. “This seat belongs to them, and I am honored to work on their behalf in Washington.”

Last month, Cramer announced he will serve on five committees in the Senate: Environment and Public Works, Armed Services, Banking, Veterans Affairs, and Budget. He requested these committees to compliment Senator Hoeven’s assignments and maximize their collaborative influence for North Dakota.

Senator Kevin Cramer has chosen position number 71, between Senators Toomey and Johnson on the Senate floor and desk number 4 as his U.S. Senate Chamber desk.
