JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – February has been a busy and successful month for the Blue Jay Speech Team.
On February 9, 28 members of the Blue Jay team competed in 46 events against 23 Class A and B speech teams comprised of 350 other student speakers at the St. Mary’s Central High School/Capital City Lions Invitational Meet.
The team is coached by Laura Weis, Chantel Harr, and Brittney Chandler.

On February 16, 31 members of the team traveled to Mandan High School to compete in 47 events against 16 Class A and B schools and 470 other student speakers.

The team performs Saturday, February 23, for Parent’s Day at the Jamestown Middle School (3rd floor). Speakers begin at 9:00 AM and will end around 12:00 PM. This event is open to the public.
The next meet is scheduled for March 2 in Carrington.
