JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Jamestown will play host for the North Dakota Home School Association annual convention, February 28-March 2.
Attendees will participate in workshops, breakout activities, and a keynote speaker during the three-day conference. Workshop topics include hands-on-learning, using Microsoft Word, and tips for successful homeschooling. Convention planner Karol Kapelle expects around 1,400 to 1,700 people, or 250 families, to attend.
The keynote speaker will be Dr. Brian Ray, a founder of the National Home Educators Research Institute. Kapelle says Ray will discuss research on homeschool education.

The convention will also have breakout sessions on various topics.

Kapelle says that this is a great event for those who are still unsure about homeschool education.

Pre-registration has ended, but attendees can register at the door. The event will be held at the Jamestown Civic Center.
