(NewsDakota.com) Senior and four-year starter for New Rockford/Sheyenne, Teddy Allmaras, scored his 1,000th point of his career in the third quarter and dropped in 16 in the game to help the No. 9 rated Rockets defeat the Dragons of Dunseith 53-48 in a Region 4 semifinal game on Tuesday night at the Devils Lake Sports Center. NR-S improves to 21-3 overall, Dunseith drops to 17-6.
The Dragons led 26-22 at halftime, but Allmaras helped lead the surge for the Rockets in the second half scoring 11 points in the second half, including three treys, he ended with four total 3-pointers. Junior Hunter Thompson led the way for the Rockets with 17 points, 13 in the first half. Junior Bo Belquist added 10, including eight in the second half. Senior Hunter Gladue led the way for the Dragons with 17 points, three 3-pointers.
