Clara Tabbert, 92, Marion, North Dakota, died Monday, March 4, 2019 at Eventide, Jamestown, ND.
Clara Eloise Stoppleworth was born October 23, 1926 in Stutsman County, North Dakota, the daughter of Henry Otto and Marion (Olson) Stoppleworth.  She grew up on a farm near Spiritwood, North Dakota and attended grade school and high school in Spiritwood.  On May 15, 1948 Clara married Arnold Tabbert of Eckelson, North Dakota.  For the next 70 years they enjoyed the reality of Ecclesiastes 4:9, “Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their hard work.”  After marriage they made their home on a farm near Marion, North Dakota where they raised their family.
May 24, 1948 was another important date in her life as she was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.  She was a member of the Jamestown Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses, which she viewed as an extension of her family.  Throughout her life she loved working with her husband in sharing Bible truths with others and remained active at it up to the time of her death.  She enjoyed farm life, especially her yard and flower gardens.  Even more than that she found happiness in family life; her grandchildren brought a special joy to her heart.
Clara is survived by her husband, Arnold, currently residing at Eventide Jamestown; daughter, Connie Tabbert, Bismarck, ND; three sons, Cameron (Donna), Marion, ND, Ed (Lark), Hot Springs, SD, and Timothy (Michelle), Bismarck, ND; two grandsons, Kaiel (Brooke), Jamestown, ND and Lucas (Lexy), Mobridge, SD; two granddaughters, Gabrielle Tabbert and Ganessa Tabbert, both of Marion, ND.
She was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers; and three sisters.
She rests in the memory of her creator awaiting the Bible’s promise of a paradise earth.
Memorial Service: 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 16, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Jamestown, ND.
