JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Jamestown Police Department arrested a man on an outstanding warrant following a pursuit Friday afternoon.

Lt. Robert Opp reports that at around 3:30 PM, an officer attempted to stop a silver Ford Taurus in the 500 Blk of 7th Avenue SE. The officer recognized the driver as 43 year-old Gary Zinck Jr. and was aware of a no bond warrant that had been issued by the District Court in Stutsman County.

Zinck fled in his vehicle northbound on 7th Avenue, then east on 3rd Street NE to 12th Avenue, turning onto Highway 20. Zinck stopped his vehicle northeast of the airport near 88th Avenue and 32nd Street SE and fled on foot.

He was apprehended shortly after without incident and taken to the Stutsman County Correctional Center on warrant. Charges surrounding the pursuit are pending.

According to the Stutsman County Correctional Center, Zinck faces charges of Driving Under Suspension (DUS), Fleeing A Police Officer (Motor Vehicle), Poss Of Marijuana, Probation Violation, Reckless Endangerment.
