BISMARCK (NewsDakota.com) – All season Jamestown and Davies have been 1-2 in the state ranking in some order and Saturday night they will play for the Class A title. Jamestown survived a semifinal thriller against Century, 55-52.
Dawson Douty banked in a three with 1:50 left and it proved to be the final lead change as it put the Jays up two. Carson Lamp and Jared Kallenbach had chances to ice it from the foul line, but Century’s Trey Mattern got a three-shot foul to keep the game close.
After Lamp split a pair with 7 seconds remaining, Mattern got the ball to a wide open Bryce Auck whose three point attempt rattled out to preserve a three-point win.
Mason Walters lead the way with 19 points and 15 boards. Boden Skunberg had 17 and 10.
The Jays will play Davies in the state title game at 7:45pm. You can listen on ESPN Jamestown.
