JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – It was a pretty good afternoon for the Jamestown High track and field team yesterday at the Karlgaard Invite in Bismarck. Competing at the same venue that will host the state meet in five weeks, the Jays qualified eight athletes.

On the boys side, Marcus Hochhalter qualified in two events the discus and the shot put. Gavin Haut was the lone male runner to qualify as his time was good enough in the 3200m. Two Jays are headed to state in the javelin as both Paul Vandal and Aaron Mack qualified.

No surprise it was Meghan Ford leading the girls once again. The two-time cross country champion put up qualifying marks in both the 800m and 1600m. In the shot put, both Anthonett Nabwe and Jessica Walter qualified. Future NDSU athlete Abby Kallenbach jumped 5’2″ to reach the mark in the high jump.
