Jerod William Altringer, the son of Bill and Jeanine (Stroh) Altringer, was born July 2, 1983 in Jamestown, ND.  Jerod grew up in Sanborn, ND and attended school at North Central School, Rogers, ND where he graduated high school.  He then attended Wyoming Technical Institute at Laramie, WY and obtained his Auto Body Technician Certificate.  Jerod worked for Wendel Auto Body for several years and then accepted a position at Klein’s Collision Center in Jamestown, ND.  He later married his beautiful and wonderful wife, Jana Filbrandt on October 8, 2016.  Jerod had four beautiful children, Alexa, Ethan, Emma and Allison, who were his pride and joy and whom he loved very much.

Jerod, also known as Dinger, loved hunting, fishing, camping, trap shooting, demolition derby, motorcycling, snowmobiling, ice fishing, playing guitar (loud music), and anything with cars, and of course, his Mountain Dew.  Jerod was also a bit of a firecracker. He could “stir the pot” once in a while which could sometimes get him into a bit of trouble.  He loved to socialize with his church friends and all his friends.  He loved being with his family, grilling awesome steaks, ribs, or shrimp and always shared with mom and dad across the yard.  He always gave a helping hand to someone in need like hopping into his dad’s skid steer and shoveling out the neighbors on snow-packed days.

He is survived by his wife, Jana and children Alexa Chadwick, Emma and Allison Altringer, parents Bill & Jeanine brother, Chad & Bridgette (Ruff) Altringer, sisters Holly (Doug) Retzlaff, Melissa (Rick) Schermer and his nieces and nephews.

Jerod was preceded in death by his son, Ethan Chadwick, his cousin Jerin Stroh, his Uncle Bruce Oster and Uncle Steven Stroh, his grand- parents, Richard & Luella Amann, and Joseph and Elizabeth Stroh.
