CARRINGTON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) The Mustangs of Midkota/Dakota Prairie/Griggs County Central/Lakota scored a run in the top of the first inning and second inning to take a 2-0 lead, Carrington would tie in the bottom of the third and tack on two more in the fifth and two more in the bottom of the sixth to secure the 6-2 victory Thursday afternoon. Carrington improves to 10-0 overall and 4-0 in Region III, the Mustangs drop to 1-7 overall and 0-3 in Region III.

Senior Drew Page picks up the victory on the mound with 74 pitches, 55 strikes and just 19 balls, five strikeouts, eight hits and two runs. Senior Isaac Smith takes the loss working four and a third inning, Freshman Cade Stein worked an inning and two-thirds in relief. Senior Lucas Geiszler was 2-for-3 at the plate with three RBI, single, double and scored a run. Junior Nic Lyman had two singles as well for Carrington. For Midkota/DP/GCC/L, Senior Dayton Miles had three singles, an RBI and scored a run.
