LISBON, N.D (NewsDakota.com) –  A Ransom County man who died of a gunshot wound in February is now under investigation as a homicide. It was first believed that 34 year-old William Galusha of Milnor, ND took his own life in Ransom County.

On Monday, May 6th, there was a story out of Missouri about a man who got into a shoot-out with police. His name is Barry Wedge and he was also the roommate of Galusha.

Wedge started firing his weapon at police as officers were attempting a traffic stop for a suspected DUI.
Douglas County, Missouri Sheriff Office says Wedge was recently interviewed by Missouri Highway Patrol in regards to a homicide investigation in North Dakota. Sheriff Chris Degase says he can only assume that Wedge began firing at officers because he thought they had pulled him over due to the allegations against him in North Dakota. Wedge took his own life during the shooting with police in Missouri.

Ransom County States Sheriff Darren Benneweis says the investigation surrounding Galusha’s suspicious death continues.

Anyone with information about this case is asked to contact the Ransom County Sheriff’s office at 701-683-5255. The full interview is listed below.
