ELLENDALE, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Official lunar and meteor samples from NASA will be available for public viewing in Ellendale on Saturday, June 8th.

The samples will be on loan from the North Dakota Public Library. Brittany Bain is an Ellendale Public Library Board member and says this will be a once-in-a-lifetime chance to view real samples from space.

The Lunar Library Exhibit will be free and open to the public at the Ellendale Public Library from 9AM to 12PM. Bain says a lot of people and businesses are also getting involved, opening up during special hours to welcome in visitors from all over.

Bain says the exhibit also ties in with the 50th Anniversary of the Apollo 11 landing. She says a member of the North Dakota State Library will also be on hand to answer questions about the samples.
