JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dakota Anglers continue to promote fishing in the area and are hoping to get the youth involved with an upcoming tournament.

The 39th Annual Dakota Anglers Little Britches Fishing Tournament is set for June 15th. Dakota Anglers member Dave Schmitz says they want teams of one kid and one adult to join in the tournament.

The day begins with registration from 8 AM to 10 AM at Joos Grove. Teams will then be able to fish at any one body of water with weigh in at 2 PM.

Schmitz says another highlight is kids ages 8 to 13 will also be eligible to register for their chance to be sponsored to attend the Devils Lake Fish Camp August 4th through August 8th.

Schmitz says their main goal is to get people out and fish.

A free meal will be held following the tournament. If you have questions, you’re encouraged to call Dusty Attleson at 701-320-1731 or Kay Herrick at 701-252-8451.
