JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Hula’s Fire Grill in Jamestown will be permanently closing their doors June 22nd.

The business is located at 110 2nd Street NW. After having first opened their doors at the end of February this year, the unique cuisine just wasn’t a hit according to Owner Jerry Wong.

“The people of Jamestown have been fabulous,” Wong told NewsDakota. “We just couldn’t amass a following like some other places here. We didn’t have enough traffic for business, but the people have been very supportive.”

On a social media post, Wong stated they came in with a “let’s see if it can work” approach.

“We knew going in it would be a challenge with our food,” he posted.

Wong also pointed to them not having a liquor license may have hurt their business as well.
