JAMESTOWN, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – The Dakota Anglers of Jamestown will continue their goal of encouraging and promoting good fellowship and sportsmanship among men, women, and children with their upcoming Fish Fry Tournament Saturday.

The club also works to conserve and improve all sport fisheries, and fishing education. The Dakota Anglers constantly raise funds to complete projects to better both fisheries and access to area lakes. this includes purchasing and stocking bait fish in the Jamestown and Pipestem Reservoirs and funding a study of bait fish.

On Saturday, July 13th, the Dakota Anglers will be hosting the Fish Fry Tournament at Pelican Point Landing.

“This is a fishing tournament for the contestants followed by a fish fry and potluck meal for the membership,” Nathan Selchert says. “Teams may fish any one legal North Dakota water that must be declared at registration. Two person teams may enter; at least one team member must be a Dakota Anglers member or pay $20 dues to become a member.”

Registration is from 7-8 at Four Winds Sharpening. Fishing starts at 8 am.

Weigh in at Pelican Point Landing at 3 PM sharp and payback is 100%. Plaques will be awarded for each winning team member and for largest walleye and largest northern.
