WAHPETON, N.D. (KFGO) – The North Dakota Supreme Court has been asked to review the recent decision of a district court judge who dismissed a lawsuit filed by the parents of a Wahpeton college student who was found dead in the Red River five years ago.

Andrew Sadek was recruited to work as an undercover informant by a drug task force after he sold a small amount of marijuana. His body had been weighted down with rocks in a backpack.

His mother, Tammy, says she’s just looking for answers.

Sadek’s parents believe he was murdered. They sued Richland County and Deputy Sheriff Jason Weber for wrongful death.
