Submitted by Lewis Legge: NewsDakota.com (Valley City, ND) There was a good turn out this week and last. People are busy with the Triple Dog Dare. Remember it has to be completed by the last Tuesday in July. This last Tuesday was less busy as a number of adults and youth were at nationals. If you’re having troubles with shooting, July is less busy and a good time to work these out. The youth trap club had a successful brat feed at Valley Meat Supply, we are fortunate to have such an excellent meat market/butcher shop and supporter.

Triple Dog Dare Standings:

High Trap:                      Lewis Legge           68

High Skeet                      Lewis Legge           70

High 5-Stand                  Jeremy Olson        35

High Combined              Mike Howe Jr.      103

Lewie’s Tip of the Week!!! Practice shooting with both eyes open. This can be done with firing a shell. Believe it or not, our brains are smart enough to point a shotgun accurately. No need to aim. Shoulder your unloaded gun while looking at a stationary target and stay focused on the target. Keep both eyes open and gentl youth the trigger. No need to pull it. The stronger your edge to close one eye, the more you need to practice this. Shoot well!
